Baby on the way

"This is the greatest thing that has ever happend to me.."
                                                                      E. Presley

Priscilla found out that she was pregnant in second week of June 1967. Elvis told the world that his new wife was expecting their first bundle of joy. After being put trough a nine-hour labor, on February 1st 1968 at 5:01 pm in Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Priscilla gave birth to a beautiful baby girl called Lisa Marie Presley. Everybody was delighted with Lisa, especially young, protective, proud first-time daddy Elvis. Elvis' pet names for his little girl were Yisa, Buttonhead and Injun.

SOME QUOTES ABOUT YISA AND ELVIS:

"Elvis gave her the one thing that is vital for a parent to give a child and that was unequivocal love!"
                                                                                                                       LINDA THOMPSON

"Elvis was all smiles after Lisa was born. He was just very excited."
                                                                                                                      BECKEY HARTLEY

"The man in my hospital room that day was the man I loved and will always love. He didn't have to act the part of Elvis Presley superstar. He was just a man, my husband."
                                                                                                                      PRISCILLA PRESLEY

"I remember him as my dad, but he was a very exciting dad."
                                                                                                                      LISA MARIE PRESLEY

Dream life!

Little before Chrismas 1966, 21-year old Priscilla recieved two very special gifts...

One of them was a georgeus black horse called Domino, and second, little bit smaller but more meaningful gift, three-and-a half karat diamond ring and his proposal of marriage.

Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu married on a small ceremony in Las Vegas, Aladdin Hotel on May 1st 1967. Friends remember Elvis being calm and cool while Priscilla was absolutely terrified. They were married by David Zenoff. After the ceremony there was a press conference held.

The world met Mr. and Mrs. Presley!

Dream coming true

Elvis soon started to make plans to finally bring Priscilla to America.

Elvis and Cilla in 1962
He broke up his longtime relationship with Anita Wood, or better said she left him after she found Priscilla's love letters, and Elvis continued to work on Priscilla's parents to let her live in Memphis. He said her father that she loved his daughter, that would respect her, let her finish her schooling and then would marry her. Little before Chrismas 1962, Priscilla came to New York where she was met by Vernon Presley and his wife Dee Stanley and then came to Memphis. Unfortunately, that didn't last for long. Priscilla had to go back to Germany, but came again to Graceland in 1963 where she finished her school and stayed to live with the love of her life.

They loved each other tenderly

"Eventhough there's a lot of people saying that Elvis didn't love Priscilla, I think that this statment is very much wrong. Because, no man could ever be obligated to marry a woman he doesn't love and have a child with her. I do think they loved each other. Elvis loved Priscilla until the last breath he breathed."

After their romance in Germany, Priscilla was devastated when Elvis left for United States, and in one of the interviews said that she was: "No one special, no big romance!". Soon after leaving, Elvis called Priscilla and started to make plans to bring her over to America. But, there were several obsticals to make that dream come true. He was still dating Anita Wood, who was living on Graceland, Priscilla was only fourteen years old, she didn't even finish her school, and if the press knew, they would burry Elvis.
